You guys mentioned the idea of putting together some MBA-type resources. I recently stumbled across "The Free Nonprofit Micro-eMBA":

http://managementhelp.org/np_progs/org_dev.htm

This looks like a pretty reasonable little program, particularly given the specific focus on nonprofits who likely don't have the big bucks to send their people out for an expensive eMBA.

Oh okay, I'm looking at the page again and they have a link to a more general "micro" program as well:

Anyway both look pretty interesting, and you certainly can't beat the price!

Hey guys,

Another great do-it-yourself education resource is the Personal MBA - http://personalmba.com

It provides a great starting list of books to read and some areas to discuss what you are learning with others who are on the same journey. The great thing about it is that you can customize it to fit what you are trying to learn.

I've been doing my own version of the program for a while now. It's also something that I've included on my resume under education that provides the opportunity to discuss how I am continuously working to better myself through self eduction.
