Thank you to to you guys, and Mike McAllen for pointing people towards the Twitter case study video. It was a spontaneous report at the first meeting of our Hawaii chapter of the Social Media Club - and really covers the grass roots territory well.

And to follow the other commenters, we have fresh hot Kona coffee awaiting you here in Hawaii whenever you want to take the show on the road!

Aloha, Rox

John and Chris;

First, I appreciate the show most for its actionable tips. Also, if still available, I would like to be considered for the tickets to the Dallas Inbound Marketing Summit. I am happy to report back about the event.

Along with the report, I am happy to send to you some good Englis and Irish tea for your next podcast, maybe called Marketing Over Tea.

Thanks for the info.

Guys -

Many thanks for mentioning the booth/sponsosrhip activation eBook - I've picked up a lot of traction from it.

Also - I've always washed my produce with a tenacity that can only be described as freakish. It pays to be a germaphobe...

I have been listening to the show for the last couple of months and have gained a lot of insight from the show. I live in Seattle, but had a previously planned trip to Dallas returning to Seattle on the 26th, so I can change my itinerary for a nominal charge to include Inbound Marketing Dallas as part of my trip.

I own an insurance agency, but marketing is my true passion. I have been using local and long tail SEO tactics to grow our business over the past year. This month I am about to launch a local group blog focused on senior issues with several local business, so I am sure the conference would give me lots of great strategies and tactics to incorporate into our marketing mix.

I would be happy to try and get some interviews from the key speakers at the show (audio for the show or video for the blog), tweet from the conference (@craigbaerwaldt), or put together a blog post of the highlights, whatever works best for the needs of the show.

Good episode this week. I wanted to respond to the local website optimization. I'm a sports event photographer based in the Atlanta metro area.

1. Title of my site includes "Atlanta, GA".
2. I blog. This isn't necessarily significant in itself but I tag all of my posts with the names of the high schools in the game, as well as the city and state that the game took place in. I also tag with the sport, the governing body (like GHSA for High Schools) and some other tidbits that I think could get pulled in by Google and catch someone's eye in a search.
3. I have listings on Yelp, Facebook, Google Local, Yahoo Local, and Kudzu (a Yelp-type site local to Georgia).

It means that I am very high for terms like "Atlanta Sports Photographer" and variations of that. It's gotten a few jobs for me, but only when people are aware they want to hire a sports photographer. Still need to work on making more aware that they would want to do this.

I'll maintain that I could out-donut the Marine, although I'd probably seriously injure myself trying. And your puny Dunks have nothing on a Tim's Maple Cream. Amateurs.

Anyway...

You mentioned a question from Whitney re: Yahoo Pipes. At Podcamp Toronto 2008 Will Spaetzel did a good if slightly tech-y Pipes presentation. Not sure if much has changed in the intervening year+ but links to the video and Pipes that he demoed are at:

http://podcamptoronto.pbwiki.com/MediaArchive2008

Scroll WAY down, it was one of the last sessions.

Also, for the "almost-purely shameless" file, our company Wild Apricot launched a site today that some of your listeners, particularly on the non-profit side of the house, might be interested in:

http://associationjam.org/

It's basically a Digg-type site specifically for associations and non-profits. If you've got links you want to fire up there, by all means please do! The best stuff gets voted to the front page, so it's all good.
