I'm nominated House Party (www.houseparty.com) for the MOC Awards. House Party is a consumer activation and experiential marketing company that engages thousands of qualified consumer advocates to host in-home parties featuring a brand, product or element of entertainment programming. The parties take place across the country all on the same day. Managed via a proprietary, customized online community space for each brand event, consumers engage both in home and online to explore and promote brands they love.

More specifically, House Party specializes in finding brand advocates or consumers who love particular brands, asks them to host the in-home parties and invite their friends and family so that they can experience the brand as well. In return, House Party asks hosts to blog, download photos and videos from their parties and communicate with other hosts on the event’s microsite.

House Party also gives consumers a fun night out with family and friends. Nothing is sold at the parties so there is no pressure to buy something. House Party is simply an opportunity for consumers to try a brand or product – could be a new product or a product that has been around for years yet the brand wants to remind the consumer about it. House Party provides consumers with very exclusive access to their favorite brands as they are given product, exclusive discounts and coupons, premiums, gifts, etc. by the brand.

Our largest event this year was with Microsoft. Last Summer Microsoft was preparing for one of the largest and most important initiatives in its history – the worldwide launch of its Windows 7 operating system. Key to the marketing strategy was the message that Microsoft, in designing this operating system, had taken to heart the wishes of everyday consumers like never before. And so to emphasize this message, and to activate its passionate brand advocates, Microsoft asked House Party to put its pioneering fusion of in-home, online, word-of-mouth, and social media marketing at the center of the launch. With House Party’s help, Microsoft enlisted over 40,000 consumers around the world to host parties in their homes (parties that each host planned, promoted and turbo-charged on his/her own customized House Party microsite) to debut, demonstrate and celebrate Microsoft’s new software. More than 800,000 people experienced Windows 7 first-hand at parties; millions more heard raves through social media and other word-of-mouth channels, both online and off. Microsoft saw deep engagement, mass reach, and enormous lifts in awareness, favorability, advocacy, purchase-intent and other brand metrics.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Great MOC podcast as always!

I'd like to nominate http://www.TheSolutionMovie.com/ for a Marketing Over Coffee award for Best Small Business Viral Marketing Video.

TheSolutionMovie.com graphically shows in 90-seconds why our online marketing tutorial site http://www.IncreaseOnlineProfits.com/ is a great solution for small businesses like authors, entrepreneurs, professionals with private practices, speakers, job-seekers & career-changers, or anyone who has a website, blog or podcast, who would like to see more results from their online efforts and social media.

Our Slideshare.net presentation on "Give - with no expectations - and see what happens", or "How to Land an Interview and Launch a Viral Video in 1-day" shows the evolution of our video and plays the audio of the interview with nationally syndicated radio talk show host Richard Greene (who advised Princess Diana on her public presentations): http://www.slideshare.net/KarlKasca/givewith-no-expectationsand-see-what-happens.

Take care and happy holidays!

I would like to nominate the Automate Mutual Assistance Vessel Rescue System (Amver) for a Marketing Over Coffee Award. The Amver system is a computer based voluntary global search and rescue system managed by the United States Coast Guard.

Since we no longer print a monthly magazine we have begun using "new media" as a way of spreading our message and recruiting more ships into our life saving operation.

We have a traditional website, http://www.amver.com, a blog, http://www.amveruscg.blogspot.com, Twitter http://twitter.com/amver, and Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/amver and think we fill a unique niche in Government use of social/new media. Plus we (meaning me) are willing to pay for the lucite award! If we win this award it will also look great in my annual performance evaluation.

Wishing you Season's Greetings and a Happy New Year.

We really appreciate your dedication to this podcast and we've learned a great deal from it. Years ago, my wife and I planted a vineyard in Argentina and in 2009 we launched our first release in the United States. You've helped us to better structure our content for the search engines, to advertise, and to raise awareness of our wines using the internet.

We'd like to encourage your readers to drink more Malbec in 2010 and we'd like to nominate our site for the award... http://www.1150wine.com

We are a tiny producer in a saturated market space. We know we've just scratched the surface, keep the podcast's coming.

Thank you.

I would like to nominate the Automate Mutual Assistance Vessel Rescue System (Amver) for a Marketing Over Coffee Award. The Amver system is a computer based voluntary global search and rescue system managed by the United States Coast Guard.

Since we no longer print a monthly magazine we have begun using “new media” as a way of spreading our message and recruiting more ships into our life saving operation.
